Pictured above are a few of my favorite creations presented at the 14th annual Driehaus Awards for Fashion Excellence, featuring student designers from local schools such as SAIC and Columbia. The main prize winner, Liz Bahl, received $7,500 and a garment display along with a mentorship opportunity at Saks Fifth Avenue. Proceeds from the evening benefitted the participating students, five fashion and design schools, as well as the Costume Council of the Chicago History Museum.
