Chicago Looks is proud to present a regular collaboration with some of the city's most stylish inhabitants. Now it's Matt Kasin's turn - see his previous posts here, here and here.
Matt (aka Gaudy God) is a fashion designer, filmmaker and stylist with a self-described "expensive bad taste". He is inspired by pop culture, John Waters, Versace and Italian horror films. He believes in fashion as a religion and salvation from the everyday mundane. He owns two online clothing stores filled with original and vintage garments: Gaudy God and a 90s concept store inspired by Clueless called THE MALL.
And did I mention he can save your closet too? Read more about his services below:
So basically there's no more need to skip that event because you got buried under your clothes. A (gaudy) godsend!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GIRL!
These shots were taken at the Beauty Bar last night with my iphone. Clutch too small...
Alanna Zaritz along with Josh Crow - a contributor of Chicago Looks - run one of my favorite fashion blogs EVAH, Drawn and Coutured. See a bit of the fabulosity you'll find there below:
I mean... know what I'm saying?

Top bloggers Monica Dimperio of The Midwasteland and Alex Maier of Superdanger were shot at a chic gathering thrown by The Art Institute to promote the upcoming Impressionism, Fashion, and Modernity exhibit, opening on the 26th.
Meet our special hosts: Jean-Paul Brunier, a "photographe and blogueur de mode" coming straight from 19th century Paris (see his magnifique blog here) and Gloria Groom, the curator of the show.
Thanks Art Institute for the wonderful time! Can't wait to see it!
